This event is hosted collaboratively with the Elizabeth Caswell Diabetes Institute and the Kellogg Eye Center at the University of Michigan.
This scientific symposium brings together a diverse group of stakeholders, including researchers, clinicians, representatives from industry, government regulatory agencies, and patients all working together to advance research to conquer vision loss form Diabetic Retinal Disease.

Registration fees are $150 for in-person attendance and $75 for virtual participation.

- From Evans Terminal (All Other Flights):
- Taxi and luxury sedan services dispatch from the upper level of the Ground Transportation Center. Upon arrival in Detroit, and once all baggage has been claimed, follow signs to Ground Transportation on Level 4 to catch a ride.
- From McNamara Terminal (Delta Flights Only):
Registration will be managed through Iris, the University of Michigan’s standard event registration platform.
To register, attendees must first create an Iris account. If an account already exists, there is no need to create a new one.
After signing in, the registration process can begin.

Registration Instructions/Troubleshooting
Payment Information
Payment is accepted via Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card or debit card. Payments will appear as a charge from Conference Management Services. Your credit card will be charged at the time you complete your online registration.
Declined payment
Please note the charge going through to your credit card may be considered an international payment as it will be processed in the United States. Due to this it is important that if your card is declined first ensure all of your information has been entered correctly and that it is a card that we accept. If your payment still cannot be processed contact the customer service department at the company your card is issued through in order to help troubleshoot through payment.
Refunds and Cancellations
If you wish to cancel your registration, we must receive written confirmation of all cancellations by October 26. 2026. Registrants who cancel before October 26. 2026 will receive a refund less a $50 non-refundable administrative fee, 2-3 weeks after the request is received. Refunds will not be issued after October 26. 2026 Cancellation requests should be sent by email to conference.registrations@umich.edu. Cancellation requests cannot be made by phone.
Confirmation
You will receive a detailed confirmation from Iris registration and a receipt from Authorize.net following submission of your registration.
